Happy New Year Everyone!
I’m sure you’ve noticed that things have been quiet here on NOXP lately, and I’m here to let you know that they’ll stay quiet for a little while longer. January 2012 is a pretty big month for me – I’m getting married and will be enjoying a fantastic honeymoon in Japan! This is a time in my life that I definitely want to savor and enjoy, so I’ve decided to put blogging on hold for the rest of the month. Don’t worry, I also have big plans for NOXP in 2012 and will return promptly at the beginning of February.
But I’m not leaving you completely on your own for the whole month! The January Arts page is up, so you won’t miss out on any of the fantastic art exhibits going on in the Bay Area. I’ll also still be sharing my Italian Word of the Day on Twitter. (This whole getting married thing is pretty time consuming, so the Italian Word of the Day will be taking a little vacation as well!)
I’ll be popping in on Facebook and Twitter throughout January to share how much I’m loving Japan and married life, but it is my honeymoon – which means all fun and no work.

That’s a great reason for going on hiatus. Congratulations, Ashley — all the best to you and your beloved. Have a wonderful honeymoon in Japan. We’ll be here when you get back.

Congrats!!! That’s so exciting. I’m sure you will have a wonderful honeymoon in Japan. I loved visiting Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka. I’m sure you will be exploring the art scene and can’t wait to hear about it after the fact
Good for you for disconnecting!
